Thanks a lot. Will get to reading, at the slow pace it takes me it should take like an hour or more .

You're welcome. There's a LOT of trolls there, just don't take them too seriously... :)

Blood of Bahamut in the bargain bin too? What a pity

Yeah, 50% off, it's a bargain. A friend of my is currently in Japan, I'll ask him to get Magna Carta 2, MH3 and Bahamut for me. It's criminal not to!

Not only is Blood of Bahamut in the bargin bin but Magna Carta 2 is there as well. These games just came out. But then I've heard this happened to Metal Gear Solid 4 too.

If Nintendo is successful at the moment, it’s because they are good, and I cannot blame them for that. What we should do is try to be just as good.----Laurent Benadiba

So this game is most likely going to meet Capcom's expectations or maybe fall a bit short.

Considering that they shipped 1 million units week one, no.

Yes it will, unless you can provide any info on how fast they expected to sell them.

In Japan used copies flood the market within two weeks so the retailers suffer dearly when they overpurchase video game disks.

Games with good multiplayer do not get sold in as high numbers.

Every game gets brought back because they actually have very high trade-in value.

I imagine when the free trial for online ends, there will be a good bit returned. It's the same for MMOs. It spikes early and those free trial members leave while the hardcore continue on.

I'm assuming most people pre-ordered the game though. If they did, they got something like 3 months free opossed to the 20 days. So this shouldn't be a problem for at least that much time. That is assuming it happens like you expect, and nobody is going to pay $8 a  month. Also the online is much easier to pay. All you need to do is use wii points.

I do think many people will pay, but it will have a drop once the included free trial runs out. That's all I'm saying.

And if you truly don't think they could add more content to a PS3 version than a Wii version, I question that logic greatly. I wasn't talking about the guanranteed DLC though. They can fit a lot more on dual layered BR than a dual layered DVD. As far as online goes, my experience with Wii online hasn't been all that great. Of course, as I haven't played MH3 I can't comment much, but I highly doubt it's as seemless and easy as it would be on XBL or PSN. I would loved to proved wrong though

That may happen , but more than half of the people get 3 months free. By the time that happens it will be pretty low anyway. That is unless this game somehow has great legs like the psp versions. That is very doubtful though.

But the thing is they didn't use a Dual Layer DVD on wii. If they were truly constrained they would have used a Dual Layer dvd, but they didn't have to. If they aren't expending on the Wii's resources why would they need the PS3's? Also remember that a lot of what is extra on BR isn't content but better quality video and sound. Having HD games alone doubles or triples the data you need.  As for the Wii's online, it isn't using anything from Nintendo so it runs different from most wii games. It uses Capcom's servers, and there isn't any friend codes(there are codes, but only if you want to add a real life friend/somebody you knew other than from the game, also they aren't fully numeric so they are easier to use). The game never lags for me, and I'm living on the other side of the world. It is pretty seamless. If you want to see a video on it here you go.

To be honest, it is much more seamless than many PS360 games I've played online.

Anyone paying for MC2 would be a crime. And MC PS3 numbers are very low. Anyone know what the lowest point it has been at is? No way they are hitting 13M WW even with slim.

That's a big Wii drop. Also wow at PS2 selling on par with PS3.

I was actually expecting a more dramatic drop for the Wii to be honest, but the PS3's drop caught me off guard: it's on par with the 360?!

It dropped like 2000 units, around 20-25%. That's a huge drop.

Well, stock may be low if the 80gb going bye bye rumors are true. But, if there is available stock then ouch.
