well, almost every time I try to load up a page on here I get a message that says

"Internet Explorer cannot open the internet site

http://www.vgchartz.com (or the page url's, but that is a message fromt he front page)

Operation aborted"

At which point the screen locks up and the only option is to press ok.  That kicks you out to a "internet explorer can not display webpage" white screen.  You can push back to reload the site, it usually takes at 5 or 6 tries before you can get through without getting the message. 

I also get a message saying there is script on the page causing internet explorer to run slow, and wants to know if I want to turn it off.  If I do turn it off the web site pretty much freezes and won't even load a different page.  I have to exit he browser and start a new window to get this web site working again. 

Well, I'm using IE8 and Vista and it keeps saying that the site couldn't be opened and it was aborted. Sometimes it just won't load and goes straight to the "Not opened page". Like immediately. I click one button, it doesn't try to load, and there is that magnificent "fuck you" page.

Does compatability view work THAT well?

Strange, I can navigate flawlessly with IE6 but I can't reply, quote or see gifs with the latest Opera version.

Got modded for saying I use an ad blocker on Fire Fox. The mods on this site got to be seriously bored, I get modded everyday over the dumbest crap.

never had any probs with FF, Chrome, or IE8 on Vista.

Hardly surprising- the front page is absolutely horrendous. Far too busy and cluttered, too much Flash, too many adverts. Frankly, it looks like utter shit.

That's what happens when you use a crappy browser.
