Tekken 5

How come no one is hyping Lost Planet 2 anymore? When it was seen as a 360 exclusive there were nostalgic talks of how people enjoyed the first one and as a result were looking forward to the second, not only that there were several gushings about the snow setting of LP2 now when was the last time anyone heard about that game here?

I keep forgetting about Tekken 6 - and I think this is a trend in the media. Non of these "Christmas games to buy" or "Games of 2009" lists the media keeps making seem to bother with Tekken 6, it's almost as if it's not there...

For me it's just hard to care when Street Fighter, BlazBlue, MvC2, King of fighters, Soul Calibur have already filled the fighting gap for me this year - albeit two of them arn't out in the UK yet so I've not bought them yet (Oh yeah and KoF was sucky :P).

I'm sure Tekken will draw me in once it releases :/.

Somebody claimed it looked better than Uncharted 2 once. He was laughed out of the thread.

Surprisingly, no. This time it was waron. Selnor's said it multiple times, though. He slowed down when it became multiplat, but didn't stop outright.

There is no need to jinx the game just in case it turns out to be a huge let down. Arcade fighters often tend to outshine watered down console ports of the game.

There are like 8 360 fans on this forum and 10,000 PS3 fans.

We hype it. However, it's not exclusive, so it's not gonna get the same hype level on any console.

In case you haven't noticed, exclusives get hyped, multiplats usually don't.

As for FFXIII, and its multiplat status....well that's a Final Fantasy game, and the biggest gaming news from a third party in the last 10 years, and even its hype has dropped drastically since it was announced as a multplat, after the initial "In your face" from 360 fans.

If the PS3 fanboys are actively against you, you better be Final Fantasy if you want to maintain any word of mouth momentum on a message board.

Not "if it's true." It IS true. If Tekken was a PS3 exclusive, it would be hyped more. Probably much more. Sorry if you don't believe that.

He tries to make it seem as if his spur of the moment assumption is fueled by a generally accepted opinion, and in some cases, like this one, he is absolutely wrong. Generally accepted opinion from gamers and reviewers was the exact opposite of the opinion he presented, and he got called out on it.

Happens sometimes.

I used to use his technique. Found out it makes people hate me, and it's dishonest.
