Unrelated: my 6 year old loves video games. She's pretty good at pretty much any E rated DS game (Kirby is her favorite), and she got a V-tech V-Smile system a while back (I consider it the 4th great system of this generation: PS3, XBox 360, Wii, and V-Smile). With a microphone, stylus, and the Wii remote, Nintendo has the tools in place to make educational and fun games for children. Then I can spend all day drinking beer knowing my baby is in safe hands.

There are quite a few educational game makers out there and they do take notice.  I'm just waiting for the day Leap Frog starts making games for the Wii.  When that happens the Wii will continue to sell out in America for at least another year.

sdont even think that--we would have mob scenes with all the parents trying to score em then--not like that isnt already happening

They're most likely going to add BBA: Wii Degree and maybe Wii play (If you think about it, Wii Play was only a ten dollar game with a Wiimote) so it wouldn't really cost them much more to add that especially because it's a first party title. IDK if BBA: Wii Degree is 1st party but if it is, it really isn't costing them that much to add that in either. But it is a nice bundle I don't think it will push units seeing as that neither of those games sold extemely well in their own right. (I would say Wii Play did, but it is really only a ten dollar game and during the early months of the Wii, the only way to get a Wiimote).

I'd say it will push quite a few units, or rather keep the Wii momentum going. It's more perceived value and there will be increased Wii buzz from all the ones buying the new pack.

And it won't risk more production troubles like a new colour would.

^^^^ I disagree because like I said, neithe game moved units so why would people care about that when they didn't buy the game in the 1st place?

Wii Play has moved a lot of copies.  You could argue that it was solely because of the packaged remote but you just don't know.  Having Wii Play in the bundle lets people say they're selling a Nintendo Wii plus five games.

BBA: Wii Degree didn't do great, but it was also too expensive.  This is the kind of game people old and young love and I think it will be attractive to buyers.

The two points you made I made also in my first post, that post was when someone said the bundle would move units based on those two games. Wii Play is just about as shallow as a game can get and BBA: Wii Degree was priced too high but also, it wasn't the best reviewed game either. I would think N would go the route the 360 went by packaging two good selling, well received games (Forza 2 and Marvel), or like Sony in PAL countries starter pack with (Motorstorm and Heavenly Sword/Resistance/F1)

BBA didn't do that bad. But that's not the point.

The point is that the buyer feels he gets more for his money. Even if he wasn't that interested in the bundled game. It's the same with other stuff, like hamburger meals or just about any product.

^^^^ I didn't say it did horrible, or too bad, I said it didn't sell remarkably well and thus would not really push units.

And I say you missed my point. Previous sales of the bundled games is not a good indication of how good the bundle will do.
