Well, this certainly was an interesting read :)

I don't think anyone could've predicted Uncharted 2 would have taken off the way it did. A little more surprised at people underestimating GT, though.

Indeed. The annoying thing about GoW III's numbers is that VGC did infact adjust them up close to 5 million, something like 4.95 million, if I remember correctly. Then they did a u-turn and adjusted them back down again.

Eh, that doesn't really matter. It's already far ahead of most predictions and did so without much bundling. The bundles now are just icing, because the game is the cream of the crop for the system.


I didnt say taht it did matter.  im not one of those people who gets mad about bundles but uncharted gets heavily bundled so it depends on how much they want to bundle it to how much it sells

EDIT: Btw don't say that uncharted did it with barely any bundling.  Uncharted is known to be bundled throughout the year.  I dont get mad at about bundles but dont lie about something.

Uncharted is one of my favorite series and i see no need to lie about it.

10 million for GT5 is pretty much a mathematical certainty at this point. It would take an act of God for it not to happen. And 11 million is probably about an 80% likelihood. I still stand by my 12 million ltd prediction (made back in mid 2009. :edit: Oops, I meant mid 2010).

Uncharted's sales have clearly annoyed quite a few people on this site.

In the past few months, I've noticed that too. Oh well, I just remember before I joined this site, I told a group of friends that Uncharted was going to be something special (I did the same in the 90s when a buddy of mine and I argued PS1 vs Saturn). 


I got a similar feeling when I played Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, I didn't of course think it would reach the heights that it has, but I knew Sony were onto something special. Walking through that jungle in the beginning of Drake's Fortune sticks out vividly in my mind, that was the precise moment that I said to myself 'This is next gen, this is what all the money was spent for'.
