So far I've fused just about every demon possible as soon as I was able to.  Trying to keep a balanced roster though Hairy Jack and Jack Frost might be getting the boot soon.

When you start hitting around 30-40 levels you will be spending much more time with each of your demons...

Just hit level 24 so I'm getting there steadily.

My teams are now:


Yoohoo, Kikuri-Hime, and Yuki Jyorou

No more Devil's Speed but each of them has a dance move.  Yoohoo has Fire Dance, Jyorou has Elec Dance (and Mabufu), and Kikuri-Hime has Ice Dance.  In the last battle I had 2 of them dancing against an enemy party and the entire enemy party got destroyed pretty fast.

MC, Nekomata, and Moh Shuyuu

Nekomata is great.  It hits even harder than my old Hairy Jack and seems to paralyze fairly often.  Moh Shuyuu is still useful and flight is great.

Atsuro, Thor, and Wendigo

Atsuro's team is all power now.  Clocking in at 19/12/12 power, they knock out enemies pretty fast.  Thor is still OHKO'ing every other enemy so it's great.


I've also got an Orcus, Pendragon, and King Frost I just fused.  Not sure where to put them yet.

funny, I never found an use to Nekomata, I think I fused it with the wrong skills lol it was a good sub though, when I lost some demons in recent tough battles

there are a lot of demons that I didn't use after getting them from fusion. Kikuri-Hime was another one, and Moh Shuyuu was good but served better for me when I fused it

Its stats are mediocre for its level but it hits fairly well and gives the Animal Leg auto-skill which lets me move twice a turn. Right now I'm just really looking for things that will help me move more each turn. 

My MC, Nekomata, and Moh Shuyuu just beat up Ghost Q which was like 4 levels ahead of the MC and 6-8 levels ahead of the Moh Shuyuu so I think they're doing something right.
