Forums - Gaming Discussion - $99 Games that included a disc version and a install version

What if games were 99 dollars, but they included an install version with a code to lock it to your console.

They also could be played without installing off the disc if you didn't have internet.

Then you could install then sell to Gamespot.

Maybe multiplayer could only be played by entering the code.  Gamestop would have a whole bunch of single player discs on hand the day of the launch.

Would this increase gaming revenue?

deveoper are trying to reduce selling of used games not trying to increase them

... I don't get it. So the way to stop the used game market is to almost double the price of new games? I'm not following.

It would increase the used market, but increase the price of the used market.

Ooooorrrrr I could just buy two games at that price. Three if I shop around, even brand new.

This does not seem a particularly feasible idea.

And this Nintendo DS. - The PS4, this Xbox 360, and the Gaming PC, and the PS3's, and that's all *I* need. And that's *all* I need too. I don't need one other thing, not one... Not a good idea.

It doesn't matter how you would be able to use a product to most people. It matters about the price. And people won't give in to $99. Just no.

Why would a consumer want two copies of the same game?
