Ps3 Slim will be announced at Game Con

-Samsung exec went on record to say that Sony is dropping the price of Playstation (doesnt say which one, but Ps3 is the obvious assumption"

-Playtstation exec went on record to say that Ps3 is now 70% cheaper to manufacture than it was when it first came out.

-The current Ps3 being bundled with two of the most popular exclusive titles on the system (getting rid of stock, making room for the Slim)

-Various retailers in Europe already having Ps3 Slim on their websites, getting ready to sell them (amazon germany, and there was one other as well)

-Reports showing the demand for Ps3 parts has increased 4x

-Video of a mysterious prototype of the Slim filmed in the Phillipines

-Sony sales forecast being 13 million for the fiscal year (3 million more than last year..they wouldnt predict that without the pricecut/slim would they)

-and finally....a record long 2 hour press conference at Game Con in a couple weeks... Is there any question they're going to announce it ther? It seems pretty obvious at this point.

I was wondering when the next PS3 slim thread would show up...its been almost 20 minutes since the last one.  I was starting to worry about the health vgchartz users.

A PS3Slim would be welcome, and I suppose it may increase demand enough for Sony to hit their target (provided there is a price cut too).

Correction it's a 3 hour conference not 2 and for the love of god use the official PS3 slim thread!!!

Even i am getting bored about all these slim rumour threads now... I wish Sony would just announce it already and be done with it!

I could care less, I'm trading an 80GB with no BC for my brother's 60GB Full BC unit this weekend. I did buy him a 500GB HDD to go with it, bought myself one too. The only way I'd care is if the Slim PS3 had same exact functionality as the original 60GB unit.
