Forums - Gaming Discussion - PSN vs. Xbox Live - which is better now?

Live is better, if i were to price both services, i'd give PSN 15 bucks and Live 40 bucks a year.
but PSN has improved a lot since it launched.

Live just egdes it out.

Although, any form of cross-game chat, or party chat on PSN... and PSN has it won.

PSN is better and FREE

"I don't have time to play video games anymore, but if I did, I would definitely choose the PlayStation 3 instead of the 360" - President Barack Obama

Right now they are probably as close as they will ever be. PSN has really improved the quality of content available, and the PS1 classics are a big help.

Unfortunately for PSN, XBL is on the verge of huge updates with huge amounts of new functionality that will probably reopen the gap.

There both good

Live, marginally. But you would expect it to be. Its had more time to develop.

Live is better as far as features goes, but the gap is getting closer. I love the fact that the psn is free and it does pretty much everything that I need it to. I will say that Live has the edge for now, but if the psn starts to offer demos for every down-loadable game on the psn and gives us netflix, than I will side with the psn.

Live easily.

  • Cross game chat
  • Video on Demand (still not available in Europe for PSN)
  • More content
  • Monkey Island (nuff said)
  • Games on Demand
  • Last FM / Twitter / Facebook integrated
  • Windows Live Messenger / Windows Media Center
  • Everybody (!!!) has a headset

Imagine not having GamePass on your console...

psn has gotten better much better

but its still live all the way

come play minecraft @  mcg.hansrotech.com

minecraft name: hansrotec

XBL name: Goddog

I say PSN only because I don't pay for LIVE.

Plus I am one of the worst people to play online with because I hate having to chit chat when I am focusing on trying to win.
