Forums - Microsoft Discussion - So I bought another one

I decided to tripple dip: my first Elite succumbed to the dreaded RRoD and I sold it promptly after the repairs. My second replacement unit is about to fall apart with the disk tray refusing to open in either vertical or horizontal position but only at 45 degrees. I decided to get the newest Arcade, June 2009 manufacturing date, with a used 20 GB harddrive, just in case MSFT will launch a 1 TB drive some time soon.

The recovery process was suprisingly easy: I ended up downloading everything down to a single MSFT point I had on my old account several months ago.

Long live, multiple dippers.

Why buy a new HDD, why not just use the one you already had?
