But they are competing with each other now, so Microsoft didn't achieve anything.

It's not just MW2, I'd imagine Assassin's Creed 2 is the other game causing developers to flee.

All these publishers will be monitoring the response of these games from E3 and in general, and many have commented on previous holiday seasons where consumers are going towards buying a few games from the big established franchises. I think it's very high risk for any games to launch against these two behemoths and there are going to be alot of flops if they can't rake in their (R)October sales.

It is quite insane though at the moment, this back log could go quite far too. You're normally looking at one big hitter per month in the first half of the year, at the moment we could be looking at one per fortnight :/.

Really sucks too, alot of good games I wanted were coming out. But now I get stuck looking at another run and gun shooter. Skipeeee!

Well, it looks like i'll just save that christmas money and buy my games later.

Ha thats great, but they are loosing the ps3 audience with there recent acts, first off the COD4 servers have been hacked and you cant play cod4 without getting cheated off, secondly they threathen sony for a price cut... oh and lets not forget raising the price of there games just beause they know people are going to buy it even if its more costly to buy a certain edition than a PS2 console..

honestly PS3 gamers should not be happy with activision.. I myself have never been happy with them, as they only ride off the guitar hero and Call of duty franchises, the rest of the games they make are mediocrity at best..

Ive never been happy about EA either for just porting horrible ports to the ps3, but I see that has changed.. but still Ive not see an an innovative quality title from EA other than Mirror's edge.
