Forums - Gaming Discussion - A question about GT5 and Forza 3

Ok. First, I'm not a huge fan of racing games...

I really enjoyed Burnout Paradise and a bit of PGR4 and that is it, but I'm looking forward to play GT5 and/or Forza 3.

I'm interested in those kind of games to be able to play (simulation) fast expensive sport cars in impossible situations.

So I don't understand this -> http://news.vgchartz.com/news.php?id=4559    "Standard cars".

I remember getting bored pretty quickly by the campaign mode of Gran turismo 4 because "Ford Fiesta Challenge cup" is really not my cup of tea...

So who the f*ck (??) is interested in virtually driving a Seat Ibiza, a Fiat or a damn Volvo ???? Developers are struggling to render a speed impression, so why anybody would want to play the game with such slow and inexpensive cars ?

It is too boooring !

Like Jeremy Clarkson would say-> Powaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaeer ???

Evan Wells (Uncharted 2): I think the differences that you see between any two games has much more to do with the developer than whether it’s on the Xbox or PS3.

Small cars can be fun to drive. The Renault Clio in GT5 Prologue can beat any of the Ferrari's if tuned properly (or if you just buy the tuned version).

Even tuned, I don't think it could happen in the real live...

Anyway, you talk about tuned cars, I was referring to "standard ones".

I like tuning up average car's , you can find some right dark horses sometimes .You don't have to do the ford fiesta cup or whatever, there are PLENTY of other things to do on gran turismo

Mmmmh I don't know...

Simple, because everyone had different taste from you. Nothing more needs to be said than that really.

You may only want the top of the line vehicle with top horsepower but others prefer specific brand of various years and models. When I played GT3 I didn't always use the 3000GT or the Pikes Peak Suzuki. I just enjoyed taking low end models, equip them with top end upgrades and see how fast they can go on the straight away or raceway.

I find that enjoyable and so do millions of others.

This is something people need to get over. Just because you do not prefer those types of cars does not mean that they need not be included.

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

Currently playing:

Got a retro room? Post it here!

Aw, shit. Somehow you've made a thread about GT5 and Forza with absolutely no flamewar potential.

Anyway, yeah, I don't get it, either.

No offense, but when I see questions like this.

"I don't understand why someone would want to play a game like this?"

Coupled with personal opinion about it being boring, it comes off as very self centered.

No big deal though as I pretty much gave the answer as to why and that reason is part of why the game sells as much as it does. It offers value to people of all types and not just the type who wish for top end super fast vehicles only.

They did it so I can set up a race with my Corvette against my brother's Ford Focus, of course.

If you say so...

For me it is the same thing as enjoying a cessna plane in Fligh Simulator... brrrrr....

I understand it might be ... interesting... but IMO it is way too boring...

But ok....
