 Well there was Pikmin. Sure it's not something that satisfies the hardcore RTS crowd, but I found it to be more fun than all of the PC RTSs I've played.

Of course Pikmin was only made possible by throwing out the majority of the baggage that RTSs have been carrying since Dune II. It's really a shame that RTSs so rarely break away from the traditional formula. The RTS genre really is the most stifled genre of video games.

well I say that because they did the same with marathon.... they said they won't do a 4th one and until now they didn't did they ??? now it's a private entity, they are bored with Halo FPS do you think they are going to do a Halo 4 they don't want to do , rather than a new challenge.... especially when they have already a game in the world of halo in dev... why bother with another FPS right now anyway...

now they might be private but they are not totally free.... MS is still the publisher..... what MS did here is get the advantage without the hassle.... and they kept the bungie team together.... we should create a new category the 4th party.... the one that make games for one console if the publisher they are tied with like the game... and multiplat if the publisher think it's shit lol... imagine MS publishing on multiplat bad games to make more cash lol... that would be odd :)...

At first you started out pissed that someone would have some fun thinking of the next halo *games*. Then you went on to speculate about the price, availability, etc. Thank you for joining the conversation. I however disagree, right now a true sequel may not be in the works but.. lets take Final Fantasy for example when you have a cash cow you keep milking it. On the episodic series for the next halo project, Ahem the new halo I'm still hoping for a prequel.
