Forums - Sony Discussion - Gran Turismo PSP boxart and new screens

Stop pissing all over the thread Waron. Nobody else cares about online leaderboards and all the other boring shit you are complaining about (normally I wouldn't swear so lightly, but you have no problem with it). This game will be awesome and lots of people are excited about it.

From viewing the youtube videos it is pretty obvious that those screens are not in game.
With that said said however, the game looks absolutely awesome.

This is the only style of game that i miss not having on the wii.

Best looking portable game confirmed! Thats InSaNe!
Boxart is also pretty sick

Ridge Racer 2 on psp still looks way better than Gran Turismo.

i'm pissed on Polyphony Digital - apparently all the tracks were taken directly from GT4 and Tourist Trophy, many cars were taken from GT4, there's no infrastructure, there's no leaderboards, no ghosts of other players, only Ad-hoc. this game is fucking port from ps2. they could give me 400 cars but, with atleast 6 cars on track and online leaderboards.

but hey i can play infrastructure - i just have to buy 400$ ps3 and register japanese psn account to download ad-hoc party application cause apparently Gran Turismo Portable on launch will have ad-hoc party servers up and running. so yeah they can give me infrastructure via ps3 but can't give me infrastructure on the same god damn servers via psp. well, thank you sony or rather fuck you sony.

How am i not surprised by this post?

As for the bolded... get a grip.

Agreed Montana. Waron just hates Sony. Somebody should take up a hobbie

the REAL driving simulator

but not REAL racing simulator. i have to admit after watching that gameplay - this game will suck. looks like no online leaderboards, adhoc only multiplayer in that video - i hope i'm mistaken, but the only thing i'm looking forward in GT Portable is either infrastructure multiplayer or online leaderboards and ability to race against ghosts of other players.

Lol its a handheld, you cant expect it to have amazing online. If you want to play GT with amazing online, wait for GT5. GTPSP Is absolutely amazing, its only about 1-1.25 gigs, its easily the best looking handheld game ever created and it looks very fun.

I REALLY want to get a PSP now ... :(

i was excited when they announced it too but, with more information it looks like PD and Sony gone the easiest way with this game.

- only 4 cars on track,

- all tracks were ported from ps2 games,

- most of the cars were ported from GT4,

- no online except ad-hoc,

- no damage eventhough they have all licenses for it since Q42007 or Q12008,

- infrastructure mode is made by ad-hoc party that was designed for older games that didn't have infrastructure. so this game have infrastructure on the same servers that all the other psp games have that don't require ps3, but it will need 400$ from the start. i would understand if they would discontinued infrastructure but, this? "so all our psp games have infrastructure via psp but since GT is our most popular franchise we will stick our fist in your arse so you will buy 400$ console if you want to play this game online",

it will be good game but they could do so much better if they didn't go the easiest way with this title.

And this is in the screens where?

You may be pissed about the lack of some features  that you may have wanted added to the game but there is probably another thread for that,

Im sur no ones going to be caring too much about online with this game. The fact that it looks like its going to be one of the best handheld games is why everyone is excited. And Ridge Rcaer 2's graphics are nowhere as good as GT psp.

I really want PSP , this game shows that Sony finally realised that they still have to support the console, well but im not going to get this since i really hate driving games:P

imagine the GT5 game would be like. those screenies damn, its comparable to Forza 3's in game...

I am not the only crazy one!

btw, you guys have to know the PSP runs at a lower resolution than the PS2, and the PSP is technically just as powerful as ps2, so when two and two come together you get this.. The car models look amazing, the environment looks like it came from a DS game(no offense).

In any case, if they could do this with the PSP, just imagine what they could do with the more powerful Wii? GT5 prologue already looks insanely good.
