Instead of seeking to convince others, we can be open to changing our own minds, and seek out information that contradicts our own steadfast point of view. Maybe it’ll turn out that those who disagree with you actually have a solid grasp of the facts. There’s a slight possibility that, after all, you’re the one who’s wrong.

The comparison between those two should help.
In particular this one seems to be against you:

10/06/09 Arguing with TalonMan vg$ -50,000.00

If it weren't for that you would only be 5k in debt.

The VC will last much longer than you think. It aint going bye bye any time soon.

Probably into the time of the next nintendo system at least.

Really, how much does it actually cost them in resources of manpower and developer costs to keep Virtual Console up and running? It can't be that much.

Well every company, including Nintendo has to get each game that they're planning to release on VC rated by ESRB if they're putting out games for the NA VC, PEGI for the European VC, OFLC for the Australian & New Zealand VC, CERO for the JPN VC, & sometimes USK for the European VC. All of which cost money to do so.

Not only that, but each 3rd party game coming to the VC must be approved by Nintendo before that game can be released on the VC.

I'll leave it to you to figure out the exact values.

It seems that Nintendo are just going to freeze the VC as it is. To be fair there are not many games left that they can put up there and be financially successful. Don't blame them really.

Umm no you dont know what you're talking about. There are plenty of games and untapped potemtial.
Anyways visit my thread please and post your thoughts.

you know, if VC isn't profitable anymore, then why not simply have a price cut on certain VC games, how about they also revamp the the channel and merge both Wiiware and VC into one elegant channel that features content from both, that way a person who may want to see what's available on wiiware may pick up a VC game instead if they find nothing they want from the wiiware stuff, same goes the other way....at least this way they maximize exposure.

I figure Nintendo should at least TRY to do something like I suggested, rather than dump the channel all together. I now they haven't officially dropped VC yet, but if they start by slowing down it's release to the point where it's not updated anymore, then the next logical step is to stop the service and remove it, because it'll reach a point where it cost more money than it's worth keeping it alive.

HEY MAN. You read me like a book. Now please post in my thread.
