^I disagree. I agree with the OP that it's probably a color related thing. Look at the two best selling products of the last 5 years, ipods and wiis.
The fact that ps dominated last gen and not this gen is because competition both chaged to white.

this site is a great guide line for sales data for market penetration data that you have access to, but what of the sales data on the market's penetration of countries that you do not have access to?
