Yeah a kind of Zelda game with RPG element. The game was fun, but not as good as The Legend of Zelda)

I own Willow.  It was annoying how you'd explore a little and end up in unwinnable fights.

This may be annoying but nothing beats the difficulties you have with a level 1 mage on baldurs gate.

Endure. In enduring, grow strong.

Chrono Cross (PS1)
Final Fantasy VII ( PS1)
Legend of Dragoon (PS1)

Pokemon Blue (GB)
FFVIII
Final Fantasy Tactics

These are the first three I remember playing (and the order I played them in). I'm not sure though because if I played a shitty RPG during this time I probably don't remember it (all three of these games are in my top 10-15 games of all time with FFT being in the top 3) and I'm not sure if I got Pokemon Silver before FFT...

Currently dreaming of: DKC4 or Sonic the Hedgehog 4 (classic 2D platformers) for WiiWare, Smash Bros. for DSi, New Super Mario World for DSi, a Wii remake or true sequel of Final Fantasy Tactics.

One down, hopefully more awesomeness to come.

LORD= Or Legend of the Red Dragon... it was a Bulletin board based text game.

Dark Sun Shattered Lands

Battle of Olympus

Dragon Warrior

Secret of Evermore

Final Fantasy Adventure.

Boycotting the following:

1. Yoshi: He ate my car and spit out a toaster.

2. Igglybuff: Totally false advertisement. You can have as many as you like they don't buff nothing.

3. the Terms Hardcore/Softcore... We're talking Video Games. Not Porn.

4. The term Casual as relates to Gamers: We make them sound like outsider's that happen to play games.  If that were the case they'd own a PS3.

5. Donuts.... Beacause I drink Beer...... and the biggest fan of Donuts hates Beer.

6. Boycotts: Their so lame.

It kinda makes me sad that so many peoples first RPGs were from the PS1/N64+ era, I mean that as it's sad so many never experienced those golden years.

The N64/PS1 era was a great gaming era and the accessibility of the Playstation did a lot to get new people into gaming.  You shouldn't be sad, you should be happy that your hobby was thriving during that time.

As for my list...

1)  (NES) Dragon Warrior I
2)  (NES) Dragon Warrior III
3)  (NES) Final Fantasy I

I think.  I picked up Wizardry, Crystalis, Day Dreamin' Davey, Battle for Olympus, and more during that time period.  Those are just the ones that stand out the most.

Also, Dragon Warrior III was easily my most played NES game.  I probably spent well over 100 hours on it.

Day Dreamin' Davey and Battle of Olympus cannot be considered as RPG games. Those are Action-Adventure games.

Dragon Warrior III was my second favorite best game on the NES (just after Dragon Warrior IV). I too, spend over 100 hours on it. Great time.

(1) Wizardry (the first one)
(2) Ultima I
(3) The Bard's Tale (the original)

...the first console one I played might be in the triple digits, but I've played a lot of them at this point.

triple digits? Do you mean you have played more than 100 RPG on PC before playing a console one?
