360 is doing well in Japan considering how did the original xbox, it does have a very hardcore userbase that buys a lot of software (looking at the userbase) and the games there are doing fine. Securing JRPG's definately did help. PS3 is not doing well in Japan anyway (overall) and Wii sales slowed down as well this year.

60k isn't a lot to go around.

It really depends on how good the game is. If it's very good, it will woo new users to the 360 like Tales of Vesperia did, which has had incredible legs for a JRPG that had such high saturation on it's first week (it sold ~100,000 units, dropped to 20,000 the next week, and sold another 60,000+ afterwards which points toward a large number of users buying it when they got their console).

As others have said, even if 10% of MC2 users, at 60,000, were new users, that would still be enough to propel it past the Playstation 3 for a week. And of course, my 60k estimate may or may not be low. If it sold similarly to SO4 (in terms of previous iteration to new one), it may sell 80-90k units - 10% of which would equal a small but decent boost for the system.

You realize he never once said it would make a significant difference.  He said it could boost sales.  He did not even say how much.  He was not even defending Aion, he was replying to your foolish stance to think a JRPG will not boost sales at all.  You are inferring stuff he did not say and confusing him with Aion.  Grow up.

xbox360 always been a dead console in japan.
it require like high JRPG to maintain over 10k and it dropped fast.

Me - I was responding to Aions post. Therefor he was responding to my post which was responding to Aions therefor he was defending Aion by saying my logic was wrong... Either my logic was wrong like he is trying to say and Aions was right... or I was right and Aion and Lord was wrong
