Forums - Sales Discussion - Japan hardware sales : new low for the 360. Is the 360 dead in Japan ?

Famitsu charts this week (2009-7-13 / 2009-7-19) just showed the 360 reached a new low in hardware sales in Japan : Microsoft : 360 : 2700 Sony : PS2 : 5000 PS3 : 8300 PSP : 25000 Being outsold 2:1 by the old PS2 (and more than 3:1 by the much more expansive PS3) is quite sad for Microsoft. Sony consoles outsold Microsoft consoles 14:1 this week. Is this drought due to the lack of good exclusives since last november on 360 ? Do you think the 360 is now dead in Japan ? What could save it now ?

I'll wait for Media Create befor I judge cuz Famitsu has only 60% sales while Media Create has 90%

It's been lower than that before.

But it's always been dead in Japan.

^ sources? I don't remember where but I remember famitsu had a bigger market than mediacrete when I asked the difference between the 2. any it isnt a new low.

If it was dead it wouldn't have sold 2700. It would have sold none.

It's as dead as the PS3.
i.e. Not.

Wait til the slim and price cut and *insert list of games* then the PS3 is domed the 360 will kill it.

The source is the news on vgchartz... Front page (Famitsu numbers).

Don't they have Wii sales?

xbox 360 is always a hobo in japan so...

No... a dead console doesn't need to sell 0.
