“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.

Thought it was gonna be crap but I bought it just to check out the motionplus controller...

Am pretty impressed so far and have already played it more than wii sports (have only tried 3 games so far though)...wish it had online multiplay though as my friends aint buying it yet...

NINTENDO has done it again!!!!

Played 4-5 more hours today. Focused on Archery, Ping-Pong, Swordplay and Wakeboard. DAMN it's fun! It's laugh out loud fun even for 4 hours straight. There's so much more depth to this game than Wii Sports too. And they added Achievements.

There are few things more fun than a close duel that rages back and forth, hitting your friend in the head with a lasersword.

This is invisible text!

The system to add skill points is much more lenient here. I just posted a complete meltdown in 9 holes of golf, pulling off a +24 (as i just freaked out on the last two holes and pitched it either into the water hazard or out of bounds until it forced me to quit by default, a +6 and +10 on top of the 8 i already had, but for that absolutely pitiful performance, it gave me 150 points to add to the 85 i already had.

+24 should be worth negative points at any skill level, even 0 (to send it negative)

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

I've mostly been playing sword fighting. I preordered it a long time ago, though I wasn't really sure if I'd like it much (I hardly played Wii Sports). I'm loving it a lot more than I expected. I've been having a ton of fun holding the Wiimote like Darth Vader's apprentice in the Force Unleashed, and, while terribly less effective, is a lot of fun.

Actually, I've been feeling pretty crappy and sick today overall, but still managed to play this game (and work up a sweat) until I almost felt like throwing up. Hehe.

I think this game might very well be the death of me.

That being said the WM+ is screaming for a good Star Wars game. I could even see a similar minigame collection (lightsabering, dogfighting, pazzak), being awesome.

Lovin it more, basketball and cycling are moving up my list, while frisbee and bowling are moving down.

Great game.

I found golf a bit tricky after Tiger Woods. Prefer the Woods version obviously. Not sure which golf frisbee I prefer yet.

Not even played much multi-player yet!

The flight game is sublime - I will be wasting many hours flying round the island in awe of the level of control I have and just what i can do with the smallest of wrist movements... worth the price alone (I loved Pilotwings so that probably has something to do with it)

I thought that the flight game would be completely pointless...... but I am actually enjoying it too!

I cannot find all of the (i) points though, I assume I have just overlooked some. On that note does anyone know where i could find a list detailing where they are?

Who would have thought that I could get all of the secret fruits in archery with no problems but I cannot find something as simple as those (i) points. :D

Endure. In enduring, grow strong.

^ Not much improvement at bowling? Sacrilege! I thought it was a very big improvement indeed. Bowling is my favourite multiplayer game at the moment. I just got a second motionplus though, so I'm looking forward to multiplayer swordplay, dogfighting and powercruising at the weekend.

Swordplay is so good! I've really got the knack of it now and I must say, I can't understand how anyone could call it a waggle fest. It controls exactly right. Getting a good parry against a quick attack from a sly angle is so very very satisfying.

I used this when I couldn't find the last 2 points.  http://www.flickr.com/photos/emsef/3766171398/in/set-72157621884814974/

JUG, the dogfighting is really good. Some of the moves you can pull off when trying to outmaneuver your opponent are very rewarding. Protip, cutting out the engine stops you from leaving a smoke trail behind so the enemy has difficulty finding you.
