As far as I am concerned, WSR is Swordfighting with a bunch of other minigames thrown in. In this, I mean the duel, and the equivalent of the "Hoard" mode where you are rushed by a bunch of guys (the competitive match the slashing is one of the minigames). It is hard to describe how awesome it is playing, but it makes me feel like I am a Muskateer (or Zorro) and I do a move and go, "Ole", and look like I am conducting an orchestra with the waggle. I have had a blast with it. On the surface, it does appear to be a wagglefest, but the controls are responsive for me, and you can think on how to block and attack and defend. I do cheat a bit and use only one hand (supposed to use two though).

This game makes it look like they are in serious need of a good lightsaber game, and also an adventure game, where you are a swordsman, and get gold. Can also go with archery to (good but not as fun for me), and other related modes. I see a lot of promise to this.

Screw Zorro.

Link's 360 spin attack FTW.

This game gives me an insatiable urge to go slap someone in the face with a glove and challenge them to a duel of honor.

En guarde!

Benoit, what level difficulty opponents are you facing on duel? I agree you can waggle through duel at first but not when it gets harder.

I only played against another player but he just waggled and any attempt at blocking or any tactics was useless. May be i sucked at it.

I believe you have two types of attacks, a slash top down, and a slash to the side.  Top down hold your sword flat to block.  For a slide slash, hold it straight up.  If you can get a block in, then he gets stunned and can't attack, and you should be able to counter.  Of course, you need to practice.  I found mixing up attacks worked real well.  You may want to try the "hoard" mode to get some practice in against a lot of attacks.

There are more than 2 types of attack, but the blocking angles seem to be less sensitive. this basically kind of reduces the amount of attacks that are possible.

You can stab, up/down, left/right, top right/ bottom left and top left bottom right. So discounting the almost infinite amount of angles there are about 5 different attacks.

The perfect attack involves attack involves slashing along the line of the sword from the tip to the hilt/grip. blocks are normally a perpendicular angle to the line of attack.

The blocking is actually more of a parry, you may not actually be able to directly attack but if an attack is lau nched whilt you have been parried sometimes you are actually able to get in an attack whilst stumbling backward, and ofcourse you can block.

Playing agaisnt the computer or a decent player the waggle is pitiful.

Endure. In enduring, grow strong.

I must say i'm impressed, and that the system's accuracy is almost a little off-putting. I made the mistake of doing Golf first, and got slaughtered on the first hole (triple bogey), by the base difference in controls. I was initially thinking that this game was much harder, but then i actually tried using it like a golf-club (which should have been obvious from the start), and started succeeding.

I don't like the basic setup for archery, though. Wiimote in my left hand just feels wrong, however i slice it.

Disc Dog is surprisingly fun, and that little puppy is adorable. Wakeboarding is also a thrill, especially since it feels very much like pulling off tricks in Mario Kart Wii.

And that's all i've tried so far.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

anyone have any idea how this game is doing at retailers, when i went back to the store where i bought my copy, 1/4 of the copies they had on display had already been sold. i'm on a military base so thats pretty good since the amount of people that shop here is limited, its a small base plus there is also a gamestop with a kiosk of wsr right next door

@Ramparter - I don't understand what you mean about other light sources making it out of synch, can you elaborate please?

Motion plus uses the sensor bar to understand your default position by default. Play table tennis and try to to point your remote torwards some other light source like an open window. The game will then think that your are pointing torward the screen and that this is your default position. I think that you can disable that auto-sync though.

AHA! This is why archery got so fucked up from time to time. It's the lamp beside the TV. Thanks for the info.

I like it...but i suck at it *crawls in corner ||||||*

but im good in frisbee, table tennis...and bowling (BTW I SUCK AT BASKETBALL....I ONLY GOT ONE IN XD |D) and i played as reggie too XD

Wow, I haven't had this much fun with a game in a long time. Sword fighting is a blast, and flying the airplane around the island is the perfect way to relax once you've worn your arms out.

I would comment on the other games, but I haven't been able to tear myself from flying and sword fighting long enough to play them more then once.
