It still is a great game, I play it from time to time.  One of my favorite games of all time.  Blows Zelda II out of the water easily.

If you liked Battle of Olympus, I strongly recommend games like Shape Shifter and Wonder Boy in Monster World!

You had some excellent picks on page 1.  You should play Battle, it's a wonderfully fantastic game, although kids nowadays won't appreciate it because it's challenging.

First day if it ever hits VC. Just like Star Tropics, the other game I always wanted to play on NES. And like Landstalker, the only reason I ever wanted a Mega Drive.

Vigilante 8 and Vigilante 8 2nd Offence for the PS1. Best vehicular combat games ever. Whenever I hear Luxoflux is working on a game I pray its another Vigilante 8.
