6. Super Dodge Ball

Around the Network

Road Trip: Shifting Gears.

Pixel Art can be fun.

Aquaria - PC (completely unheard of but the 'ratings' are very high)

Okami - Wii (rated highly but not many have played it)

Celestial Impact - PC (free open source game that blows away all 'destructible environment' games away)

Warsow - PC (another free open source game that is even more twitch than quake 3)

Einhander - PS1 (maybe not underrated though)

Jedi Power Battles - PS1 (probably my fav star wars game still)

Battleclash - SNES - SuperScope is simply amazing (still have it!)

UN Squadron - SNES - one of my favorite shootem ups

Scarface - Wii - Very fun game with amazing story and side missions that actually affect storyline and gameplay. Coke runs to cuba, building and maintaining a drug empire, and driving around while shooting heads, arms, and legs off of with the wiimote without even slowing down ;)

Killing Floor - PC - was rather unheard of but it recently went commercial and is selling for $20 on Steam so it is doing rather well now. Still amazingly hardcore game, rarity these days.

Way of the Samurai
Way of the Samurai 2

Tenchu - PS1 (both 1 and 2 are superb)

Custom Robo Arena

Shadow of Colossus - PS2 (not played by enough people)

Viewtiful Joe - GC (again not played by enough people)

Swords and Soldiers - wiiware - getting some attention but it is truly a gem and worthy of a full game imo

Phantom Crash - xbox

Geometry Wars: Galaxies - Wii

Metroid Prime 3 - Wii - underrated cause no one ever mentions it when they talk about FPS on Wii even though it is amazing.

ExciteTruck - wii - one of my favorite offline racers of all time next to F-Zero GX and old school mariokarts.

This list could go on for awhie for me but these are the ones I can think of off the top of my head. I know I am forgetting some really important ones but I am at work and can't get too distracted ;)

Current Favorites:
Wii - Muramasa, MH3, Metroid Trilogy, RS2, Okami, RE4, COD, Dead Space, Scarface

Because games like Star Ocean and the Last Remnant fall into the vastly overrated area and none of the above are underrated.

If you have to explain it...

I know, I know.

I'm kinda surprised that someone who posts so much on a game forum can not know what that would mean.

All those jrpgs i named are a lot better than past rpgs.

Gladius was a good game. Others include Legend of dragoon, Suikoden the whole series, Wild Arms 1.

I don't get what you mean? please explain.

I figured you were referring to the now-popular "REVIEWERZ HATE JRPGZ!" mindset.

I just thought it was a joke post. Star Ocean 4 getting >7 average is beyond me and the definition of overrated.

damn you torilian xD jk

well, i should add Secret of Monkey Island too and Broken Sword the shadow of the templar. those game are getting the attention they deserve now they are on XBLA and the other on Wii.

You create another thread to mention people's wrong choices in this thread and to prove your point you mention 3 classics (Another World, The Secret of Monkey Island, Broken Sword)? You think TSoMI and Broken Sword are getting the attention they deserved only after they were re-released on consoles?? That's cute.

On topic - of all recent games I played: Ceville (not underrated by reviewers, but according to the developer by gamers; it seems even genre fans didn't buy it).

Agree with you on Viewtiful Joe-one of my favorite games of last gen.  Metroid Prime had good reviews and the reason the game did not sell as much as Metroid Prime 1 is entirely Nintendo's fault.  The first Metroid Prime did not become a major seller until it hit the Players Choice lineup on the GameCube, and then it took off in sales.  Now that Nintendo has a little bit of success it is being a-holes in not dropping the prices of such games and thus losing out on the potentenial sales from players like me who will not buy games like Metroiod Prime 3 or Smash Brothers until the price drops.  I will buy some games at full retail such as Mario, Zelda, and a few Capcom gems, but thats about it.  Every system since the SNES has had a version of the greatest hits series even the highly successful Playstation 2 which could have had Nintendo's current arrogance when its systems were selling off the charts.  But Sony was nice enough to drop the price of the damn games after some time, even if it did not have to defeat the Gamecube and Xbox.
