Forums - Gaming Discussion - How many people have gotten the RROD?

I used to own a 360. I used to love playing my 360, poppen peoples heads off in gears and playin halo, nobady could get me away from it. I was a 360 fan boy. Then one day I got the RROD so I took it back to Best buy and got a new one. 2 weeks later I got the RROD AGAIN! I could not even beleve it. But I said " Oh well" and took it back again. Everything was going well for about 2 months, untill it struck again. By this time I was pissed. I was so mad at microsoft that I never wanted to deal with them agian. I took my xbox back to strait back to best buy and told them " give me a PS3!" They made me pay the 100 dollars difference but I didn't care. It turned out to be the best decision I have made in my gaming carrer.

I have been playing ps3 for quite some time now and I love it. It hasent broken down and the games are fantastic.

Let me know your story and if the RROD has happened to you.

Ive had it twice on my Elite in a space of 1 and 1/2 years 2 years.

My old 360 didn't get it once.

EDIT: I just realised that next month i will have had my Elite for 2 years... wow.

3 times although it hasn't happened for over a year. I think I'm safe from RROD now, dunno about DRE or E74 though.

I have it twice on my old 360 and once on my Elite. So fuckin pissed when it happened to my elie though. So total +3.

somehow i just dont believe your story

1 time, i borrowed my friend`s 360 :D :D

1x because I did give it enough room for ventilation. MS sent me a new one with better heat sink i think, its been 2 years now without any problem (knock on woods)

I have never had a RROD or E74 in one and a half years.

My mate had 3 E74s in a year, but it seems the repair practice was extremely poor as they pretty much followed one after the next and it was the same console.
