Baten Kaitos:  Eternal Wings and the Lost Ocean was one of the highest critically acclaimed games on Gamecube and it even made IGN's List of the Top 25 Gamecube Games Ever http://cube.ign.com/articles/772/772300p1.html.  I believe Paper Mario:  Thousand Year Door was the only other Gamecube rpg to make this list (Other notable Gamecube Jrpgs  like Harvest Moon Gamecube Version (I forget the exact title), Baten Kaitos:  Origins, Skies of Arcadia Legends, and Tales of Symphonia failed to do so).

So, do you think the Wii will see a new entry in the classic Baten Kaitos series at some point in the future?

I enjoyed Baten Kaitos, but wouldn't call it a classic. I'd certainly like to see it come to Wii sometime. It was developed by Monolith Soft, wasn't it? They're now owned by Nintendo... But do the rights to Baten Kaitos belong to Monolith Soft (and thusly now Nintendo) or Namco? If it's the latter, then Baten Kaitos may not return.

I thought that Monolith only did the backgrounds and such while Tri-Crecendo were the actual developers...I could be wrong though.

I liked the first one way more than the 2nd one.

The first was a great game, I never got around to playing the 2nd one though. I would not mind a new one for either the Wii or PS3

i doubt it, but i wouldnt mind seeing it. i wasnt a fan of the first game (never played the second) so honestly i dont care if there is one or not.
