Do you realize guys, that his job isen't to make prediction but to give financial guidance. As in any other sector, if he wasen't good, he would not be here after all these years.

As for predictions, well, he usually go over 50% of them right and I remember Kotaku doing a chart comparing analysts predictions in our industry, and he happens to be the best at this little game (edit : http://kotaku.com/356982/analyzing-the-analysts-episode-one ).

Now, I agree he sometime gets a bit delirious (especially on "live") but hey, just take a look at this website and at our predictions about games/consoles sales : most of the time, we're deadly wrong (now, who predicted success for The conduit ?).

This is very true. Also most of the predictions you see on N4G etc.. are made on the fly.

Good question.

So is there anyone here that doesn't hate Pachter?

Probably not, however I'd like to submit a serious question regardless.

A criticism of your analysis might be that you lean on the analysis of resources available to corporations (and I mean the term "resources" very generally here) moreso than you analyse corporate strategy, or how the corporation or it's products relate to it's consumers. How important do you think resources and strategy are in comparison to each other, and which is more worthwhile to discuss?

A game I'm developing with some friends:

It is largely a technical exercise but feedback is appreciated.
