2, maybe 3 of those 4 are. I edited my post because of GoW.

No, that's not true
1 of them is confirmed for this xmas (Uncharted)
2 of them the devs would like to have for this xmas (FFXiii in Japan and GT5)
1 Of them will not be released by this xmas (GoW)
So it is infact 1, 2 or 3 of them
And of my 4 games, 2 of them will be released during the Christmas period.
So I would call that even

FF XIII is all but confirmed for this holiday (if not, there will be massive meltdowns), and if GT5 will be announced for this holiday. You can quote me on that.

Together those games will sell a lifetime total of 20+ million units. Which games match these, exactly? |
I'm glad to see you are all knowing. *bows down to almighty ted*
To answer your question, Halo ODST (and later Halo Reach), Forza 3, Alan Wake, Splinter Cell Conviction, Left 4 Dead 2, Shadow Complex, Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell Conviction, Gears of War 2: Dark Corners ( although that is more of a game add-on...so it probably doesn't belong), Joy Ride, 1 vs. 100. (it's still in a beta form)

I'm merely taking past sales into account and estimating. All previous FFs on PS2 have sold 6-7 million or more. GT 5 will most likely top 10 million. That leaves 4 million between GoW and U2, not too difficult a feat as one could easily do 3 million.
Edit: I'm starting to regret this username because so many people are thinking my name is Ted (I don't like that name at all...)

It's still exclusive in Japan, where they typically sell 3 million alone. Yeah sure that would be 100% attachment (not happening) but it could do that over time.

Well, I can agree that they may sell more (although the demographics have been shifting as of late). However we were not talking sales wise, that has little to no bearing on the decision to go with one console or the other, especially since it really boils down to the exclusives. Which list of exclusives gives the OP a bigger boner.
PS3beats360 said: The Slimline PS3 is a fake the photos were very poor photoshop efforts. Sony has not even announced a Slimline PS3. I doubt there will be a Slimline PS3 for at least two years. However a PS3 price cut later this year is possible say 50-50 chance. |
The slim is coming out this fall!
Its been basically proven, we have had numerous leaks of the same product (Yes, that is the Slim), we had leaked Slim boxart which is the correct boxart as it runs in with the PSP Go's boxart and Sony's new advertising campaign.
I think they can cut the price. PSP makes up for it. At $169, the PSP-3000 is already raking in some good money, and at $250, the PSPGo will just get them Wii level profit (based on that platform alone, because they'll be selling it at a much higher cost than production).
PS3 only costs $440 to make (according to the latest analyst). So if they cut the price to $300 as the entry price, they lose $140 on each system, but...PSP profit could level it out. This is all hypothetical, of course
