Forums - Sony Discussion - Skype on PS3? when Sony?!

i mean the PSP have it, and not all PSP come with a mic until 3000 version.

many ps3 owner have a USB or Bluetooth headset , and they could link up the PSN account with a skype one.

its not that memory demanding, it would work for crossgame voice chat.

what you guys think about it?

It would be smart of Sony, since they already have deals with Skype they could expand the deals. This way they cant get sued for anything.

Which is why they won't do it.

Yeah, I really wish they would. Skype sound quality is excellent, while current PS3 voice-chat is good, but not great.

No.

Generally, if you have access to a PS3, you are at home, and you have access to a computer. With this computer, you can use Skype! The reason Skype is on PSP is because when you have access to a PSP, you may not have access to a computer- you could be in a cafe, or on a park bench (with internet...)

but when you are in game and using a headset it would be easier because u can call friends on skype and also psn friends.

without having to go PC use skype.

that way you not only get ingame crosschat but also being able to call skype friends or phones if you have money in your account.
