Forums - Sony Discussion - Is story one of the strong points in Valkyria Chronicles?

The story is good. Though i wouldnt't consider it one of the main draws. Though that's because there are very few negatives in the game in general.

Pretty much the only complaint i have is that using the same unit over and over again is a bit broken and breaks the realism a bit.

The story blew in this game for the most part, wayyyyy too many unnecessary cutscenes with mostly predictable results. The anime could be okay, there is a good enough foundation for it.

Getting an XBOX One for me is like being in a bad relationship but staying together because we have kids. XBone we have 20000+ achievement points, 2+ years of XBL Gold and 20000+ MS points. I think its best we stay together if only for the MS points.

Nintendo Treehouse is what happens when a publisher is confident and proud of its games and doesn't need to show CGI lies for five minutes.

You could skip them if you thought they were unnecessary.

And snuggle the girls be they short or tall,
Then follow young Mat whenever he calls,
To dance with Jak o' the Shadows."

I don't watch a whole lot of anime so I can't really compare it with other series. Valkyria Chrincles isn't a bad anime, but man can it get boring at times.

the story in this game is great however its no masterpiece. Its takes a while for the story to really get moving and some of the cutscenes i find are totally pointless.

Are you sure you aren't thinking of Star Ocean The Last Hope?

The story is actually typical anime fair and full of genre cliche, but it is so well executed (As compare to most plot from games) that you can't help but enjoy it. You will grow attached to the character as the game progress

It's not mind blowing, it's just very well done for what it is. It's like the game just takes the basics and executes them and grand style. It really has no negatives...

This is sorta like how people discribed Uncharted except that game did have an easy negative to spot. Weren't too many different enemy character modelss.

If youre not a hardcore gamer then just check out the anime first. I have people on my friends list that have not finished VC because they found some chapters rather difficult.
