50 Cent got a better score than Punch out? wtf..

50 Cent's game got good reviews in the West, where´s the problem? It´s a good game apparently, much better than the previous one. Too bad the first one sold so well, yet this one which is better bombed.

Well, i'm positively surprised now. I know that the series is huge in japan, and that they love it there, but after DQ8, which wasn't as great as the other DQ's (don't get me wrong, I love the series, DQV is amongst my top RPG of all time, the story of the game is simply astonishing) and the spin-offs DQ:Joker and DQ Swords, that they would be a bit hesitant.

Glad to see that they still it's still as good as ever, and this has definetily gone to my "To Buy" list ;)

Japan loved DQVIII and it was not only a financial success but one of the most popular games of the series, probably only behind DQIII and V.  I would assume its just your view that DQVIII was 'not as good' as the others.

Yes, it's my personal opinion, I've been playing DQ since DQIV, and it's one of my all time favourite series, and I was a bit let down by DQVIII, but then again, comparing DQVIII to most RPG's that were released at that time, it was still miles better than most of them. But the part about DQM:J and DQ Swords was true, those two games were met by mixed reviews, which wasn't usual for a DQ game, even if they were spin-off's. It's good to see that the main series is still going strong :)
