I said that in my opinion no, Sony wouldn't suffer that much, since all they would loose would be guitar hero and call of duty, which, while being nice games, have comparable or even better competitors on PS3 (rockband and Killzone 2)

But in any case, if we all agree it won't happen, then somehow deciding the impact is pointless...

Didn't they also pay $500 million in royalties to Sony? Which would drasticly reduce any profit.

PS3 is a money hole - 6 billion dollars wasted by sony all for the glory of last place.

Glad to see activision wake the **** up to the reality that the ps3 is WAY TOO EXPENSIVE to program for and the returns are miniscule if any at all.

They pretty much said that they would pull support from the PS3. I agree with them. Sony needs to drop the price real soon. When I mean soon, I mean 1st quarter of 2010. When 2010 comes around, they have no excuses to not drop the price. They should really think about how many third paty games they would lose if Activision actually goes through this decision. Its bad enough they lost all their best third party exclusives. Losing more, especially when need all the best exclusives they can get to make the gap between the 360 very close, would put them in a further third place rank in thr console war. Everyone knows they will finish third place but they also finish their knowing they came real close instead of losing by a blowout.

PS2 is on it's deathbed.
