I thnk it is fairly obvious the quote from Activision was mainly directed at the PS3. Also you may want to consider 2008 the last big year for software sales for the PS2 combine this with possible declining software sales and increased costs for the PS3 and you might get an idea of the source of the frustration.

The point is we do not know how serious Activision are about this comment but it is a sign of frustration that they talked openly about stopping future support. For all we know it has already started some PS3 projects may already have slowed and some future projects may even of been put on hold we simply do not know.

How is that 40%? Just look at the MMORPG

True.

Though they lost about 6 million Chinese World of Warcraft subscribers. So I expect the MMORPG numbers to decline drastically in the 2009 report.

Not really, although a few millions chinese aren't playing WoW, they are but a tiny fraction of the revenue. World of Warcraft has a very different business model in China, where subscriptions are not paid, but where you only need to spend a few cents to play every hour.

The MMORPG section also includes all retail and digital sales of World of Warcraft and it's expansions, and I suspect it also includes the digital sales of any Digital Activision game, which includes COD4, COD:WaW, etc...

The MMORPG section will probably, and highly likely, increase for this year, even if WoW lost millions in China.
