mk dont forget the wii in there i think that is what has suprised both M$ and $ony. ninty has gotten the non gamer lookin and wanting which the ps2 had in its hayday. with the wii's get off the couch and have fun wiimote that is whats appealing parents and everyone else to get a wii. they say more and more kids are getting obese and sitting on couch's and playing videogames more and more. ninty has come up with the perfect way to get them off the couch excersizing without realizing they are excersizing. so parents are happy, and playing and the whole family values thing is there. but with the ps3 and xbox360 all they see is fat kids playin games on expensive game machines and doesnt sit well and confusing controls baffles older and younger gamers so it shuts off the need for those kind of machines. the GC was a game machine and it did poorly compared to the xbox and ps2 cause of the non gamer factor

Everyone is happy with Wii. It's so sweet and funny. I think Wii is a cure for all problems of mankind.

I dont know if you've ever heard of a 'motorola Razor' Because if you dont live in a hole, you know it's the most popular, over-priced, and over rated cell phone on the market. You dont know anyone with a phone worth more than 200$? http://www.amazon.com/Motorola-RAZR-V3-Phone-Cingular/dp/B0006I2E1O I know over 10 people with that phone. I'm not gonna say the price... because I want you to go THERE to see the price. EDIT: If you think you got your phone for free... and you pay 100$/month with 2/year contract. You might as well consider having paid 1000$ for your phone.

Ugh I have to say something. Kwaad, maybe you should go back to Amazon and actually take the time to look at the price, $0.01 with a plan. I don't think HappySqurriel is the one living in a hole, the RAZR hasn't retailed at $500 for a long time now. Everybody has a RAZR now because they are practically giving it away for free when you sign up for a plan. You can also buy one easily right now completely unlocked for $125-$150. Also HappySqurriel never once said he is paying $100 per month on his contract, HappySqurriel said "most people will get a contract and pay (at most) $100 for a phone". You know I honestly hope that Sony does well. If they succeed and companies make good games for the PS3 it will be good for all gamers. But your posts are nothing but empty arguments and you give PS3 fans a bad name. You should read your posts and other people's posts more carefully before you hit that button.

I got a free 40inch 1080p Samsung TV with a 2 year contract. If you wanna talk about paying for stuff over time. I didnt even have to deal with a mail in rebate. Dont take everything I say literal. And for crying out loud. You think you get stuff for free? I paid 1900$ on my TV. It's on a credit card. If I pay it off over 2 years, I dont pay intrest. I have a 120$/month cell phone bill. I have received ~900$ worth of cell phones over the last 18months and my contract is up in 6 months. My total bill will be 120*24 = 2880$ I could buy me a DAMN nice Sound system for my TV, AND pay off my TV with that. Nothing is free. *nothing* (unless it is advertisements)

I bought 1,400$ LCD from LG on sale on Black Friday for 750$ with a 40$ mail in rebate. I bought my phone a RAZR because it was a special the phone was free and the other free phone(the standard model) was ugly as sin. My cell phone bill is 85$ a month with 2 phones. I'm not saying this to go against you or anything but a LOT of people wait for sales and price drops just like me. In fact I'd say they were in the majority and a good chunk of those are willing to sacrifice some quality for a few hundred bucks if the difference isn't noticeable. I have plans to buy a PS3, in fact I -like- the PS3 and see some good things for it, but you could hold a gun to my head and I wouldn't buy one for 600 500 or even 400$ for me 300$ for a system is pushing it. 50$ for a game is damn near my limit unless the game is something amazing. In fact 90% of my games are purchased when they hit golden price $19.99 or even later from places like half.com for $9.99. Sony has said the pricing for their games will be 59.99 - 99.99 and let me tell you.. I could want the game so bad it kills me.. and I would never pay $99.99 I wouldn't even entertain the thought of it and I'm sure I'm not the only one. I think Sony would benefit amazingly from a big price drop, I just don't think it's possible in light of recent problems the company has had with products(such as laptop batteries). I'd venture to guess it's sales would easily see a 5-15% boost with a 100$ price drop.

Wow... nothing is free, thanks for the lesson on capitalism, what a grand revelation. I never said anything was truly free, I said "they are practically giving it (RAZR) away for free when you sign up for a plan". Obviously the price of the phone is subsidized by your contract, I never said otherwise. Once again your pointless arguments are just trying to divert the attention from the errors in your previous posts... it's just a vicious cycle.

Maybe, maybe not it all depends on what games are out by then.

If you had invested 1900 in Nintendo stock one year ago, you would have earned enough to buy that TV and still have a good lump of change left minus taxes. That's about as close to free as you could get. You look at the deal you get buying things, I look at the deal I can get through investment.
