I just notice that Left 4 Dead is set for a November 10, 2009 release, which also be the same day Assassin Creed comes out. Not to mention that Modern Warfare 2 will be released the following week. I personally think that Modern Warfae 2 will affect both games sales. Modern Warfare 2 is probably the biggest FPS release this holiday.

So what do you think?

MAG sales will be destroyed for sure. L4D and AC will be unaffected.

MW2 will be bigger than Mag and affect these sales.

MAG will defnitely get crushed by MW2 sales, there is no hype for the game, and the lousy E3 demo didn't help things either. The game will have to rely solely on word of mouth. As for AC2 and L4D2, I think L4D will be affected much more; people who are on a budget can only afford to buy one FPS for the holiday season, and for most people, MW2 is the number one choice. AC2 will also be affected but very slightly, they are two different genres, but I can see people saying "I already have MW2, I won't need another game for the next few months".

Left 4 Dead came out of nowhere for a lot of people, despite being a Valve game, it had fantastic legs at the start of this year. I don't think MW will affect either in the long run tbh with you.
