Forums - Gaming Discussion - What is your favorite fifth generation console?

At the time it was the N64, now i'd say i liked the PS1 more.

I did not get to play PS1 games until 2002 though.

PS1

Easily PS1.

"And yet, I've realized that maybe living a "decent" life means you won't ever have a "good" life."

N64 is the best of all generations.

N64, it's like the only console I ever owned where the majority of games were good.

"Now, a fun game should always be easy to understand - you should be able to take one look at it and know what you have to do straight away. It should be so well constructed that you can tell at a glance what your goal is and, even if you don’t succeed, you’ll blame yourself rather than the game. Moreover, the people standing around watching the game have also got to be able to enjoy it." - Shiggy

N64, no doubt. I had a PS1 with the dualshock bundle, and I think the only games I found really interesting were the Final Fantasies. I think I only had Gran Turismo and Gran Turismo 2 that was first-party software.

Thinking about it, compared to the PS3 era, Sony didn't do much to promote their console themselves. It was pretty much the third parties doing the job (same for the PS2 if you want my opinion). So, Sony is going the GameCube way this gen... not saying it's a bad thing (see how many great games we got last gen from Nintendo)!

Random game thought :
Why is Bionic Commando Rearmed 2 getting so much hate? We finally get a real game and they're not even satisfied... I'm starting to hate the gaming community so f****** much...

Watch my insane gameplay videos on my YouTube page!

Playstation One of course. JRPG madness! RE series, Dino Crisis, SF Alpha series... oh good times

I grew up with the N64 and played all the great games while I was young so I'd
rather play the N64 because of nostalgia. They are both good consoles but I didn't
get into PS1 games till after I got my PS2.

Nintendo 64. All of my favorite games are on it.

Ask stefl1504 for a sig, even if you don't need one.

N64 thats the only one i owned, and it was pretty sweet (i only had about 10-15 games for it tbh)
