This! DQ is a huge franchise nonetheless I think wether or not SE decides to put more of it's mature games on the Wii will be after Crystal Bearers is released and how well it's received. And I hate to say it but I think this may not sell past a 1M because of its departure from the previous entries

"In video game terms, RPGs are games that involve a form of separate battles taking place with a specialized battle system and the use of a system that increases your power through a form of points.

Sure, what you say is the definition, but the connotation of RPGs is what they are in video games." - dtewi

"Departure from previous entries" is going to make it sell more IMO. Now it seems like a full blown FF instead of what FFCC was.

Well, it seems they're using the FF brand in there just for sales. Honestly, this game could be called "The Crystal Bearers" and nothing would have to be changed. I don't even think it's a RPG anymore.

I agree about Final Fantasy XIII taking up alot of time and resources for now but after that I predict for Wii in buildup for Dragon Quest X:

Dragon Quest remake, I´m betting on Dragon Quest VII
Dragon Quest Swords 2
and....
Kingdom Hearts 3!
(This one may be wishful thinking but seriously I see no reason why they shouldn´t put it on Wii, to me it makes perfect sense. Huge userbase both in America and Japan, more economic platform to develop for than PS3/360 and the Disney element seems to suit huge part of Wii´s audience like a glow.)

remaking dragon quest VII would cost way much, way more than FF7 ps3 remake, theres a reason why that game wasn't in 3D at its time, it will take them to much time and most probably be published when wii2 is already in shelves. dragon quest swords 2 is an obvious one, it gave them money and they want more money.

Why would you say that? It's not any less FF than any of the others...

the FF name is only for it to sell more, the game has more in comon with the mana series that with FF.

For the fact it's doesn't seem to be an RPG, but an action game. It could easily have been a new ip, but I think they put the FF name on it for brand recognition.

wat

have you played DQVII, its the longest JRPG there is(besides pokemons infinite gameplay) and when its over, hell its not over, there is still god to beat. the graphics were 2D(no static backgrounds) for it to fit in two discs and not in like eight, the game is just enormous, the game had zero to none FMVs, if it had they would need like twelve discs, just play it but first leave a note in your door to inform people you wont be coming out out 2012.

Well, let's hope it.. cause with the rate they make ps3 games their next one will be on the ps5... >_>

Face the future.. Gamecenter ID: nikkom_nl (oh no he didn't!!)

Wii will get a FF XIII spin off.
