hey john lucas, how about LIFETIME sales of WiiFit, global?

wiifit i don't know how it'll turn out. it's not fun out WiiSports (though maybe it is?), but brain age isn't exactly "fun" either. and it sold what, 15 mln worldwide. apparently, more people care about their body than their brains... so wii fit could go above 15mln. it makes you feel like you're not buying a toy, but an "exer-tainment" equipment. but who knows if it can take off? it'll be the very first QUALITY product that combines exercise and fun.

Sorry John - have to agree with the others.

WiiFit *might* get 1m preorders - remember there is hardware involved as well, its not just pressing a disc. And I can't see there being any chance that Ninty will produce (let alone ship) 3m WiiFit hardware units in the opening week in Japan.

If it lives up to expectations, it will easily outsell Halo over lifetime. But not opening week.

Heck, even DQIX will struggle to outsell Halo3 opening week - and that's the biggest thing in Japan.

I'm pretty sure the entire site disagrees with you. It may outsell eventually...there's just no way it'll sell that much in one week though.

 I agree. It has the broad appeal to outsell in the long term, but it doesn't have the rabid, established fan base and it won't have the marketing hype necessary to sell millions of units at release.

It didn't flop in Japan and it will do well in Down Under now that it comes with a wiimote :) Seriously, the Wii version should have been priced at $29 but Nintendo tried to rip everyone off and America did not fall for it. About Wii Fit outselling Halo 3 on opening day, it will in Japan :)

I love JohnLucas.

I think Wii Fit will outsell Halo 3, but I think it might take 2 months max after it launches in the U.S.

Either way, with Wii Fit hitting Japan this Christmas and the U.S. getting Brawl, this Christmas Santa's hat as a big fat M on it.
