Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Is DS Lite still the best or is DSi truely the new King? What do you think

Features is god, and although DSi has many new cool features it lacks the most important of all. Backwards compability with GBA

I LOVE ICELAND!

^PSP (hacked) doesnt lack backwards compatbility with GBA :p

The DSi is better and, as time progresses, will only continue to get better thanks to DSiware.

DSLite cobalt blue.

Pfft. DS PHAT ALL THE WAY!!!!

Hehe, I got my DS release week, and still haven't upgraded. Probably will get a DSi at some point when there's good DSi titles, and I largely finish playing GBA games. As it is now, I play GBA games on my DS about as much as I do DS games.

As for DSL vs DSi, it pretty much boils down to how much you play GBA games.

DSi every day. Every day. The DSL is a wonderful system, but the DSi is better at everything that isn't playing GBA games, and I still own two GBAs (a bright SP and a Micro).

My DSL is breaking and ill definately be getting another DSL over a DSi anyday to replace it.

King of handhelds? It is PSP not nds/dsi. But out of those 2, DSi is better one.

gotta say I love my DSi more then my DSL I just find it mroe useful, the music player is a great plus

DSi> DSL, no matter how you look at it. You ca argue that the DSL has compatibility with GBA, but the DSi is waaaaaaaaaaaay better than DSL.

Yeah... because it offers a horrible selection of DSiWare and a crappy browser? Also, most of the flash card things don't support the DSi so that's keeping a lot of people from moving.

?

It has better & bigger screens, better lighting, you can surf the web, has flash card support, has DSiware, better sound quality.....

Isn't that enough?? We are talking about which is better as a console... DSi wins

The screen is only slightly bigger. I don't quite care about sound. These are things on the bottom of my list that needed to be improved especially if it cost more than the DSL.

The browser is a nice addition, but the only times I can imagine it would be useful is when wifi isn't around.

The flash card support is not the same as the flash cart devices that the DSi doesn't support. All the flash carts before the DSi existed do not work on the DSi.

The DSi is too small of an improvement to justify the higher price tag.
