Is DS Lite still the King of Handhelds or has DSi become the new standard bearer?  What do you think?

DSLite until Flipnote Studio comes out.

Well in Japan DSi now makes up the majority of DS sales. So its adoptions has been rather fast. I am not sure about NA and EU though.

DSi has a music player and a camera, along with the games. Much better for road trips, and it looks better with the side camera. Of course, this is all opinion and subjective.

DS Lite until there a really cool game that shows why DSi is better than DS Lite. Flipnote studio doesn't count because it could have easily been a retail DS Lite title.

DSi is really just better in every way. I can't imagine selling my DSi and getting a DSL. Now I could see how it you didn't have a GBA or original DS that DSL could be a better choice. But if you have another way to play GBA games (2 for me actually haha) then don't hesitate in getting the DSi. It truly is an amazing system.

I thought the DSi was pointless the first few weeks DSiWare was released but the consistent stream of Art Style games, Mighty Flip Champs, and Mario vs. Donkey Kong have made me change my mind. These games are fun and cheap!

The camera is pretty useless IMO, but maybe when they release that Facebook app it will be more fun.  The Digital Media player is pretty useless too.  Who doesn't have an iPod or iPhone already at this point which works much better.  However, the brower is actually better than I thought and I have actually used it a few times.

Hardware wise it is about the same only no GBA slot (I hope Nintendo isn't stupid and is planning on re-releasing these for $2-$5 a piece on the DSiStore)...  It is nice to have no finger prints though, not to have to turn it off to switch out games, and the D-Pad is better on the DSi...

All in all, if they ever have DSi specific carts and DSiWare continues to improve then it was worth the extra money over a DS Lite.

OT: If you dont play GBA games DSi is the better console hands down. That said I play GBA games and dont have any other way to play em so DSL for me.

The DS is the best Handheld since GBA ...Don't hate.
