Forums - Nintendo Discussion - metroid prime trilogy

i know this game isnt out yet but has anyone heard anything about metroid prime 3 save files being compatible with it?

i was planing on selling my prime 3 on ebay to put towards the trilogy but dont really want to if i have to play 3 over again.

Just sell metroid prime 3, buy the trilogy and don't play metroid prime 3 on the trilogy. Why do you need a safe file of something you don't want to replay?

As for your question, it probably is not.

Its been confirmed that it will not read old save files.

Yeah it wont work with MP3 save files. But really, its such a great game, i dont see a problem with playing it over again, and again, and again.

I'm really excited for the game personally, I never got the chance to play Prime 1 or 2 so this'll be a treat. Prime 3 is my favorite game this gen.

"Pier was a chef, a gifted and respected chef who made millions selling his dishes to the residents of New York City and Boston, he even had a famous jingle playing in those cities that everyone knew by heart. He also had a restaurant in Los Angeles, but not expecting LA to have such a massive population he only used his name on that restaurant and left it to his least capable and cheapest chefs. While his New York restaurant sold kobe beef for $100 and his Boston restaurant sold lobster for $50, his LA restaurant sold cheap hotdogs for $30. Initially these hot dogs sold fairly well because residents of los angeles were starving for good food and hoped that the famous name would denote a high quality, but most were disappointed with what they ate. Seeing the success of his cheap hot dogs in LA, Pier thought "why bother giving Los Angeles quality meats when I can oversell them on cheap hotdogs forever, and since I don't care about the product anyways, why bother advertising them? So Pier continued to only sell cheap hotdogs in LA and was surprised to see that they no longer sold. Pier's conclusion? Residents of Los Angeles don't like food."

^ Prime 3 was the weakest of all by far :O

You'll be in for a treat!

^ I second that.

Prime 3 was the weakest, really? Why is that? I always thought that it was worse than Prime 1 because of that "wow" factor of jumpin into 3D for the first time, but that it is better than 2.

Sorry, but I must disagree.  Prime 1 > Prime 3 > Prime 2.

prime 3 is the best one, the perfect combination between action and exploration. the first one is almost perfect, but doensn't get action like prime 3 and the last fetch quest is way more annoying in prime 1 than in 3. prime 2 is the closest the metroid franchise gets to a bad game, your weapons need amo, locales are horrible, multiplayer is crap, the light suite looks ugly and the tedium is in every corner of the game.
