Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Super Mario: The Lost Levels , Too Hard?

i downloaded it 5 days ago (i live in UK so i had to download it before the end of September)

i have spent probably 1.5-2 hours on it and mave only yesterday managed to finish level 1....i was incredibly glad when i died on 2.1 thinking it was going to send me back to 1.1

best so far is getting to early in 2.3....but it's the .4 levels i am dreading....it is frustrating.

Lost Levels is awesome & as for the difficulty. Im reasonably skilled at videogames but far from a master & I find the difficulty bar is set perfectly. SMB1 is my favorite game of all time (Or maybe SMB4) but lost levels if anythign makes me smile even more, the levels are just so well written and rewarding. I find myself constantly laughing and smiling playing this game and shouting "damn you nintendo bastards" but in a good way. Total classic IMO & not too hard for western markets, they should have released it & just called it "Super Mario Expert" or something so people knew what they were getting.

Yes hard but i actually beat it when i was about 5

Now that you're all grown you'll find it's much harder than you can barely remember.

It's weird how these games we all beat when we were so young, but now we are so used to other styles of gaming going back can be quite difficult.

I played it in Super Mario All Stars... It was so hard that it made me cry! T_T

Not me, I play this stuff all the time. I never lost my NES roots. I'm thinking about playing the original Metal Gear again. If you want to talk about hard.....
