IGN AU doesn't hate the Wii, they just dislike WSR.

The list of 9+ games is rather small, but that's mainly because IGN AU sucks and rarely get to review anything.

So to the people who say that there isn't any anti Wii bias in this review, start with these quotes and convince us that they are legit criticism. Give it your best, Words Of Wisdom.

 

They want 1:1 control which is slower, so I guess Nintendo should come to every buyer's house and break their arms so that people can't move the remote very fast?

In that case, the third quote is explained easily as well. A sword fight between two people with broken arms is definitely epic, and reaction times still matter a lot.

That's the most reasonable explanation I can find right now.

I don't think most of us are upset with the score but rather with his apparent expectations. He slammed the game for not providing 10 full games in 1. He wanted or expected every game to be fully fleshed out as though it were its own retail product and used that as his grounds for the low score.


As a reviewer of games myself I find his expectations far too high and unwarranted. He should have known better. It's as though WSR is being punished for his ignorance.

This may very well be a fair score for Wii Sports Resort but given IGN AU's review history i would be slow to hang my hopes of this game being a critical failure on this review alone.

Anyone who says there isn't some Wii bias in the mainstream media has their eyes closed, but it is becoming a case of the boy cried wolf.

A good idea for them would be to read what they've written before publishing. Or they just don't know what they really want.

Technically, no... they didn't.
