I havent played a Disgaea game and dont plan to start on DDS anytime soon but I do want to get around to it eventually. Right now Im playing the pretty damn hard Yggdra Union for GBA and after that Im gonna finish FE:SD which isnt that hard compared to the others.

I havent really played an easy SRPG yet so is Disgaea a hard SRPG or a simple fun SRPG? Id rather not have to play yet another hard one. Not that I dont like my SRPG that way but Im feeling pretty drained right now. If its hard I might just bump it down my list.

It can be quite hard if you're not used to grinding in order to progress.

I've got my first one for PSP coming in the mail any day know, I know I'll like it =)

What system were you looking to buy this for?

Well Im not the biggest fan of grinding and try to do it as little as I can when I play games. Persona has me grinding a lot but I barely did it in ToS:DotNW.

Sounds like Disgaea is full of grinding.

A quote on IGN for the DS version stated "Disgaea is a little too hardcore for some"

Disgaea has MASSIVE grinding. Trust me...I spend days and days just doing it. If you're not into that stay away.

Well Ive heard its part of the series but I think Ive heard that you dont have to do it.

Is it possible to not do a ton of it and still get through the game?

It's all about grinding. If you don't like grinding, it will not appeal to you.

You dont have to grind (not a lot, still quite a bit) and you'll struggle through it but you'll probably be able to beat the main story.
