Firstly the only people questionning the exclusivity of FF13 and MGS4 are people who either want that game on their system, or want the PS3 to fail. No one official has ever made any claim EVER saying this game MIGHT EVER come to ANOTHER SYSTEM. In fact at TGS SE reassured everybody that FF13 is still a PS3 exclusive. Kojima has stated several times that MGS4 is an exclusive.

Secondly, I don't see how this is going to be the year of the PS3. Sure it has some great titles coming out, but you actually listed and bundled more games for the 360. And lets face it, the Wii only needs at least one or two good games to keep it on top thanks to it's price. It's been living off Wii Sports for how long now?

From that list I will be picking up MGS4 (for the only console it is currently coming out on), Killzone 2 (if it's good, but I kinda liked the first game), LittleBigPlanet and Home (although Home is free and not really a game and will be download only, so I don't really see how many systems this will sell). I will probably pick up a 360 alongside Fable 2, and get classics such as Halo 3, GeOW and Halo Wars at a reduced price. *rubs hands*

You are quite incorrect.  Konami executives have stated that in order to make a significant profit on MGS4's enormous development budget, they may "consider bringing it to other systems."

Very true, but you must remeber.

Konami is the publisher, Kojima Productions is the developer.

Microsoft published Blue Dragon, but b/c Mistwalker wanted to DS games as well. Mistwalker did.

Also another addition to the lineup is Kameo 2 for the Xbox 360. The first one hardly sold gangbusters, but it was a fantastic title. Also, as it looks like a cute platformer, the inevitably lower price of the 360 next yr could make it "casually accessible."

Then of course there is Saints Row 2, which will sell fantastically especially on the 360 due to the popularity of the first.

Kameo and Saints Row are two games I enjoyed very well but I am suprised if this game will sell well it has to beat the master GTA IV.

Kameo 2 I don't know about this game,  I really want a sequel but I have quite a feeling it will
be not so good like no 1.

Microsoft wanted the DS versions as well, case in point is Viva Pinata DS.  Microsoft is more than happy to make money of Nintendo handhelds, especially as it raises the popularity of the title.

Kojima Productions can choose whether to actually be involved in making a port, but they have no say over whether or not a port happens.

Kameo 2 I don't know about this game, I really want a sequel but I have quite a feeling it will
be not so good like no 1.

I really enjoyed the first one. But i agree of course, neither of these titles will sell like GTA IV.  But they are still going to be fairly hyped titles, and i believe that Rare will make Kameo 2 brilliant.  They are trying to build up Microsoft's exclusive platforming reputation.  They have to carry the console's platforming department next year with Viva Pinata, Banjo Kazooie and Kameo.

That reminds me. THE NEXT PERFECT DARK IS COMING OUT NEXT YEAR FTW!!!!

While the Wii line-up for 2008 doesn't look promising now, Nintendo will reveal some new killer games for it when the time is right. This is why we only heard about Mario Kart Wii 8 months before it comes out. Nintendo's new philosophy is too reveal their new games when they are mostly finished. Remember the painstakingly long wait for Twilight Princess? We won't have those anymore with the Wii platform.

I think tooo many of you guys are thinking in terms of sales when you argue about games. If this was a sales disscussion then it would make sense but in terms of great games with proven devlopers its hard to go against the ps3 line up next year.
As a PS3 and 360 owner I can honestly say that only Lost oddessy, ninja gaiden 2 and left 4 dead interests me. Alan wake I havn't seen anything from it in since a short trailer in 06, I never liked the first fable (i still have it on my PC as we speak but I have no intent to play it) World in conflict is a good game but will be on my PC alot sooner than the 360.
Mean while almost all the PS3 big games next year has me giddy. Killzone 2 is a lock for me as I like the first and liberation on the PSP, MGS4, LBP Finally a game that my whole family will want to play together, Tekken 6 (Greatest fighting series IMO perfect balance of fun and gameplay), WKS (Level-5 has never let me down), disgaia 3 Funnyest RPG of ALL time.

I know alot of you mentioned that nintendo is tight liped about thier unknown games, however every BIG game they let you know about atleast 1 year ahead of release. Im sure there will be some surprises that will sell well cause it has the nintendo name on it but SALES don't = a good game.

pok'e'mon has been the sales king for years but I have not liked it since gold and silver when i was in jr' high almost 9 years ago, because its the same recycled concept.

This is incorrect.  The team creating Killzone 2 doesn't have one high-quality title to their name.  Also, Square is creating FFXIII without Sakaguchi. XII is the only other title they have tried this with, and it is by most accounts not nearly as good as the few games preceeding it.  In fact by and large, the FF series is seen to be in a broad quality decline since FFVII.

MGS4 does have a quality developer, but of all the major exclusives in the PS3 line-up, it is by far the most likely to go multi-platform.

starcraft - Playing Games = FUN, Talking about Games = SERIOUS

well in terms of gameplay, i believe they are fine without sakaguchi, but ff 12 lost its story, it had no character development or anything like that, and its why i didnt really like it.

FF 1-10 were critical on their story, 10 in my mind, would of been absolute crap if it wasnt for the story.

With regard to Call of Duty 4 having an ultra short single player campaign, I guess it may well have been due to the size limitations of DVD on the XBox 360, one of various limitations multi-platform game designers will have to take into consideration-Mike B

Game trailers-Halo 3 only dissapointed the people who wanted to be dissapointed.

Bet with Harvey Birdman that Lost Odyssey will sell more then Blue dragon did.
