Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Game Boy Advance question

Hey guys,

I've been playing some gba games lately on my gba sp but i find the d-pad really small & difficult to use at times.  I'm planning on buying either the original gba or a gba micro.

Has anyone tried either of those 2 systems?  If so, can u tell me how the d-pad is, thanks in advance.

you found a GBA Micro? that thing flopped instantly.

There's one sitting in my local gamesmen store. But it was too pricey considering I could just get a DSlite

You can buy a DS lite and play all the GBA games + DS games.

If the SP's D-pad is too small, you probably won't like any of them.

The original's is bigger than the Micro's, to theb es of my knowledge. But for what it's worth, the Micro is my favorite way to play GBA games, bar none.

They all have small D-Pads, but the Micro and DS Lite (since it has BC) have the D-Pads raised. I'd go with the DS Lite, unless you have GB and GBC games as well.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

I have a DS lite but i want to play my gba games on my tv via my gba player (which connects to the bottom of my gamecube).

Also, why do u prefer the micro?

Or you have a really good, if slightly illegal option.

Buy a GBA, and all the games you want to play
Put them in a cupboard somewhere
Download the roms of the games that you just bought
If you own a Mac, download a program called Darwiin remote
If you own a PC, find an equivalent program if one exists
Play the GBA games using the classic controller, wiimote or wiimote w nunchuk.

Much better option

LoL, well i've played nes, snes, & gba roms in the past. But the emulators aren't perfect & many games give me framerate issues. Now i just stick to using the real hardware instead of emulators.
