I think sackboy or kratos are the closest things Sony will ever get to a mascot. But they will never ever have a true mascot the way that Nintendo or Sega does.

One can only be a mascot of a console if he hasn't been on another home console. I'm saying home console here because otherwise some smart ass is going to say Mario is not a mascot of Nintendo.
I'm going to go with the Dual Shock controller. Over three generations, it's the most consistent symbol of gaming on a Sony platform.

This is another reason why the ps3 to falling behind the xbox and the wii. They both have Master Chief and Mario as their definitive characters while the closest sony has is Snake. But I think they should make it the Helgast, but saying that they are baddies in Killzone.
snake, i know that hes been on xbox and GC but those games sucked, he only shines on playstation.
Solid Snake may have appeared on other consoles but he was always successful on the PS platforms...MGS4 will always remain an exclusive for PS3 and MGSR does not even feature Snake and even though that game is multiplatform, it will still be associated with the PS3 and I bet you the game will sell better than the 360 and PC combined! MGS has always found success on the PS platform and thus I don't think it's wrong to associate Snake with the Sony. I just wish Sony would somehow enforce this more and really advertise Snake as their mascot...but of course, they would need rights from Konami which is next to impossible to get.

He's been on wii as well and that game is one of the best this gen. He even wanted to eat Yoshi and do mature stuff with Samus lol. Calling Snake a mascot of playstation is just pathetic. Snake's been on pretty much all consoles that mattered except N64.
mmm well imo brawl isnt that great, i prefer melee to be honest and snake sucked in that game (too freaking slow) and why is pathetic? the 1st thing most people will think while hearing snake or metal gear is playstation.
