When you ask me, reviewers tend to give under-anticipated games on the Wii higher scores.

It's as if they enjoy being the minority. If anything, there should be a component of the Metacritic scores that are proportional to the game's sales. (So high selling games get boosted and low selling ones get penalized)

User reviews have a myriad of problems just like professional reviews from various sites and magazines. Most of the contention with the conduit reviews can be chalked up to misguided fans who don't actually read reviews to determine if it's the sort of game they want to buy, but for purchase validation. These fans like yourself want their own opinion regurgatated in the form of a review and will shun any conflicting information, even if it's well supported.

If Valve would bother to port Orange Box to Wii (it'll run on Wii, it runs on low powered PCs) then that would be the best console version due to superior controls.

But so far CoDWaW is the best effort from a big developer and it's still a gimped version.   It should have had split-screen (like QoS Wii) and the Zombie mode.   Also vehicles - Halo did it on Xbox, no reason it couldn't be done on Wii.  Distructable environments might have been too much for Wii, though.   

So basically the only reason is, no one has bothered to try except HVS and they are a minor player.

Why do people keep saying this? I've played Half Life 2 and Bioshock on the PS3. I also started Resistance and have to get back to it. I can safely say that The Conduit is better than Resistance and right up there with the other two. Not quite, but close. Half Life 2 is better than Bioshock (especially when you play on a PC) and while Bioshock was great, it's also overrated.

But when a game is review is not being compare with games of other consoles.... but games in the same console. I mean, did you hear reviewers comparing games like Halo 3 to Killzone 2????

Or LBP to SMG????

The gameplay is as generic as a shooter gets. Controls are what set it apart.

Someone that is not used to 360 pad maybe...but I'd take 360 pad controller in Halo over wii mote in the conduit any day.

Couldn't tell you. But I could assure you 110%, if you gave me The Conduit with analog and let me fight online against people with the Wiimote I'd tear them up something messy. Guess its experience.
