No local multi player? Thank fuck for that!
I am more annoyed by the lack of LAN options in almost every game than I am by the lack of splitscreen.
Evan Wells: “We are only supporting online multiplayer. We didn't want to compromise the visuals going from single player to multiplayer and to include a split screen option at this time would have meant making that sacrifice.”

I guess that means I was right in saying that there was a visual sacrafice in allowing split screen. I think they should have picked up their balls and done it rather than obsessing over I.Q. all the time.
Tease.
It's a "no big deal" for me. Uncharted 2 will be a great game with or without a Co-op play. They already said that they have to compromise the Visual. I don't want that and it's not worth it for me.

Well... that's a weird way to put it. I'd take fun with my bro and friends over graphics anyday, but I guess it's different for everyone.
This is what I hate about this generation, too much focus on graphics and less about the fun. I thought we would see more local multiplayer games because of the technical capability of the new consoles, but I guess it's not going to happen still. It is different playing with people beside you than going online and using a headphone and stuff. This is also why I hate The Conduit for not having local multiplayer! :(
But yeah, at least the online is still there. I guess we'll have to rely on this option for many new games to come now.
Random game thought :
Why is Bionic Commando Rearmed 2 getting so much hate? We finally get a real game and they're not even satisfied... I'm starting to hate the gaming community so f****** much...
Cactus said: This is actually disappointing. I never play online, and after having so much fun with RE5, I was looking forward to playing this coop with my brother. Oh well, I'm still buying it |
I was always going to rent it, but local multiplayer would have put me over the edge for a purchase. Its a difference of content really, with a pretty picture and little content I have to reason to not just play through it once and then discard it. $5 is what a single playthrough is worth to me. With local multiplayer I would have had a reason to keep it because its a difference of 1 play through compared to 3-4. With the former a rental can cover it, with the latter a purchase is warranted.
Tease.

I think Sony pushed most of their studios in that rout to further more the "Only Possible on PlayStation 3" Propaganda
I want it to have splitscreen, but I will still buy it nonetheless, Resistance 3 I wont buy if it wont have SP Splitscreen
