No, it just sounds like his sleep schedule is screwed up because he does stupid things like stay up all night (and I can say that because I do the same stupid thing every now and then).
Just do these things and your sleep schedule will eventually get back on track:
- Don't eat three hours before going to bed.
- Don't have any caffiene after 6PM
- Go to bed at a normal time.
- Make yourself get up at a normal time.
- Do some sort of physical activity every day.
Your body will eventually get itself back into synch, you just can't let yourself do crazy things like stay up until 4AM or sleep longer than 10 hours. Set an alarm on the other side of the room if you have to and just get up and do something.
