Forums - Nintendo Discussion - The Conduit gets 6.5'd on Gamespot

Maybe it does deserve that score, but still I'm getting this game. And the thing is there are a lot of wii owners that dont own 360 or PS3, so maybe they'll get this game and enjoy it for what it is, a solid FPS, but nothing special. Hopefully though this is what Wii owners want, and maybe it could be a surprise hit, but yeah it is overrated.

And btw at least gamespot were honest and reviewed it professionally I always thought for one that the IGN review was a bit high, though it's my main review site, but a 75% review score is good enough on gamerankings(seriously metacritics don't know what a C is), and it seems fair. So it's more of whether ur into wii controls or not. I know i like PC controls more than 360-PS3 ones, so Wii FPS is my cup of tea console wise

One of the best games on wii

i just finished the campaign mode and is freaking amazing

it's true that it gets better in the later levels

reviews are SO wrong lately...

I've always felt like gamespot was a very anti-Nintendo review site. This, of course, is just my opinion.

Well, im not getting this game. I believe GS when they say its generic considering ive been following this game since it was first announced. I thought it had some great potential, and I wanted it to be good. I'm one of these ppl whom havent bothered with buying a FPS since Perfect Dark. Then again, the only fps that has got me excited lately is Killzone 2, and I prolly will get that during the summer holidays.

GameSpot doesn't hate the Wii, they just suck at reviewing in general.

Tools of Destruction, Halo Wars...

I would like to take this opportunity to remind everyone that while every reviewer is entitled to their opinion, it ultimately comes down to you, the individual, to decide whether their opinion holds any weight with you. If their critical eye coincides with your gaming tastes, then factor it into your buying decisions. If not, disregard their opinion at will. After the whole Kane & Lynch incident, and arguably well before, it should be clear that even professional reviews should be treated with caution, positive or negative. User reviews may sometimes be the spawn of lunatic fanboys, but at least said lunatic fanboys will never have a vested interest (e.g. free swag, getting future games earlier, etc) in giving glowing reviews.

Super World Cup Fighter II: Championship 2010 Edition

It's campaign mode is amazing and better than halo and killzone combined it has some very intense moments (i played it in hard mode)
IGN's review is excellent and this is why ign so far seems the best site for gaming.
btw i had to mention the TERRIBLE review at giant bomb for the wii motion plus games..
I played both grand slam and virtua tennis and the sega game is just pure awesome! the control is so real it's scary but you have to make real tennis moves! if u play like your grandmother then forget it its just dont work!
if u see the video review in giant bomb they dont even hold the remote right and they complain that the game sux
i lost my trust completely in the gaming sites they suck
im sure people there dont play more than 10 minutes and they put a score

good review. Conduit is generic shooter who wanted to turn out like good HD hardcore shooter like Killzone 2 or Gears 2 but it didnt

IGN review was much better and logical, more reasonable

i'll never again visit Gamespot for Wii reviews, they just are not the right ones for the job

don't mind my username, that was more than 10 years ago, I'm a different person now, amazing how people change ^_^

Maybe it's just worth a 6.5?
